The Fortress Outreach helps transient communities, survivors of human trafficking, and survivors of sexual exploitation access essential resources, safe support, and a pathway toward lasting stability.
The Fortress Outreach meets people at critical turning points when a healthy meal, transportation access, housing guidance, mentorship, or spiritual encouragement can become the first step toward a better future.
We mentor survivors of human trafficking and individuals transitioning out of the adult entertainment industry by connecting them with safe housing, healthy food, healthcare resources, education pathways, career support, transportation, and spiritual care.
Homelessness in Gwinnett County is often an unseen crisis. Many residents believe it is not a significant issue because it is largely hidden from public view. What many do not realize is that extended-stay hotels have become temporary homes for countless individuals and families experiencing housing instability.
These long-term residents often pay daily or weekly rates that can exceed $500 per week—far more than the cost of traditional housing. Despite these high costs, they have little to no tenant protections. When a resident is unable to make a payment, they can be asked to leave immediately, often with law enforcement assistance, leaving them and their belongings without a safe place to go.
Unseen homelessness is one of the fastest-growing yet least visible consequences of America’s housing crisis. Across our communities, extended-stay hotels have become temporary homes for individuals and families experiencing housing instability. Despite paying costly daily or weekly rates, many residents have few tenant protections and can be forced to leave immediately if they fall behind on payments, often with nowhere safe to go.
The Fortress Outreach is committed to breaking this cycle of housing insecurity by helping individuals and families transition from temporary shelter to stable, permanent housing. Through our housing assistance program, we provide qualified applicants with support for first month’s rent and security deposits, removing financial barriers and creating pathways to long-term stability, self-sufficiency, and hope.
As a major transportation and entertainment hub, making it a critical crossroads for individuals vulnerable to exploitation and human trafficking. With its extensive network of highways, public transportation systems, and one of the world’s busiest airports, many survivors pass through our community seeking safety, stability, and a path forward.
We believe every survivor deserves more than recovery—they deserve the opportunity to thrive.
Stability often begins with one practical step: a healthy meal, a ride to an appointment, a safe housing connection, a resume, a healthcare referral, or a trusted person who listens.
The Fortress Outreach exists to walk alongside people with compassion and structure. We help meet immediate needs while supporting long-term restoration through housing assistance, food support, education, career readiness, healthcare connections, mentorship, and spiritual encouragement.
Our resource programs are designed to meet both immediate and long-term needs.
